I asked for family room and it was comfortable. It was an amazing location close to the restaurant Bibi ‘ s, the sea and mangroves in an outdoor setting on beautiful local hardwood floors, and the more chilled Carenero Island. The experience was very lovely and I would love to return.

The staff was best and gave us great advices. The double room was neat and reasonably large. The breakfast had lots of local food and drinks...

Overall had perfect 10/10 stay on vacation. The room was fashionable and since it had hypoallergenic pillows I slept like a baby. The rate was $ 138. The location was amazing and incredible for me, right on the beach. I was happy to find The Real Mccoy, it was around 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel and served nice food: )

Had just perfect stay on vacation, the staff were pleasant, location was STUNNING on a beautiful island in Bocas Del Toro. Location: the hotel was next to the beautiful beach at Dona Mara. Ate at Mai Thai Cuisine, it's at a walking distance from the venue. Was a cosy base for trip.

Loved our 4 nights here. The personnel was amiable and very very nice. The location met every demand, it was amazing and marvellous everywhere on the Canenero island. Again, it was 15 mins drive from Niagara Falls Golf Club. The food in the attached restaurant was delightful!

The location of the hotel was great, with a beautiful beach just a short distance away. We also loved the fact that the hotel had a restaurant with a "foodie" menu, offering delicious cocktails and great food. the staff at the hotel were charming and provided excellent service.

One of the negatives was the presence of sand flies all day, which affected our enjoyment, although this was not the hotel's fault. Another downside was the limited dinner options and lack of variety on the menu.

We loved everything about our stay at this hidden gem. The superb location with its own dock made it easy for us to explore the town and surf spots by boat taxi. As vegetarians and vegans, we were delighted to find a restaurant on-site that served amazing local food. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering us plenty of tips for activities and organizing anything we wanted. The homemade breakfast, complete with delicious coffee and morning treats, was a delightful bonus.

The hotel had a lovely garden with clean beach access. The location was convenient, with easy access to restaurants and a beautiful palm tree-lined beach for swimming and snorkeling. The rooms were well-equipped, with recycled glass bottles of filtered water and drinking glasses provided. Another advantage was the on-site yoga chalet, which allowed for outdoor yoga classes and practice sessions.

The lack of variety in the restaurant menu was a downside. It would have been better if there were more options available, especially for guests staying for a longer period of time.

We had the most amazing time at Dona Mara. The couple running this hotel, Zabrina and Ariel, made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The food at their restaurant is absolutely incredible, especially the seafood dishes. The hotel itself is beautiful, with cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and amazing showers. The attention to detail is unmatched, from the cute trays with muffins and coffee that greet you in the morning, to the homemade granola and eggs served in coconut bowls. The location on Carenero Island is perfect, with easy access to the main island and breathtaking views of the ocean. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay, and we cannot wait to visit again.

We had a great New Year's experience at this hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early and check out late. the location was perfect, right on the ocean and within walking distance of a supermarket and a great happy hour spot. We loved being able to walk to amazing views, restaurants, and even surf lessons. the variety of games available on site kept us entertained, and the option to do laundry was a plus. the bilingual staff made our communication easy, and the room was spacious with a hot shower. the hotel's proximity to everything in the area was very convenient, and we enjoyed exploring the surroundings.

One thing that could have been improved was the lack of a mini fridge in the room. the staff kindly stored our breakfast almond milk in the restaurant's refrigerator.
